The Man Behind the OK Go Machine

You’ve seen OK Go’s video for “This Too Shall Pass,” the one with the humongous Rube Goldberg device. So, I thought you might like this Ted Talk by Adam Sadowsky. He and his team from Synn Labs, a collective of people who combine engineering and art to create amazing sh*t, were in charge of creating the machine. In this video he talks about what the band wanted, how many television sets and pianos were ruined in the process, how many takes it took to get it right, and more. Plus, if you go to the Synn Labs site you can see another machine, created for Stephen Colbert. Be sure to check out the “Projects” link, too, I think you’ll like their Laser Maze. It’s the kind of thing that would have been at the Wired Nextfest.
