Super Mario Bros Wallpaper

Posted: October 15, 2010 in Gaming, Nintendo

Nintendo just issued some Super Mario Bros 25th Anniversary Wallpaper!

This song is from the album Bits by Arman Bohn. You can see more cool videos on his site.

Maybe you already know about the Tiny Cartridge blog, but it’s new to me and if you don’t know about it I think you’ll love it. They claim to be the best Nintendo DS site ever. The description reads “We find interesting Nintendo DS media, import news, retro junk, homebrew previews, & more so you don’t have to!” It was the Super Creepy Pokemon Hack that first brought me over to Tiny Cartridge (via Boing Boing). The writer isn’t sure if the hack is real but explains it in full detail and says that it’s an interesting concept whether it’s real or not. Let me know what you think.

Be sure to scroll through some of the other posts too, because there’s one about a book coming out in August that you might find interesting.

10 minutes later: Hey. I’m back. Just wanted to let you know I pre-ordered the book. It should arrive at the end of the month!

Iwata Asks

Posted: June 23, 2010 in Gaming, Nintendo, Video Game Creators

I just discovered something called Iwata Asks at It’s a series of interviews where the president of Nintendo (your future boss?) interviews Nintendo game developers. It’s pretty cool. In the most recent interview, Satoru Iwata (the prez) is interviewing Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto. They’re talking about Super Mario Galaxy 2.

There’s a sneak peek of the new Pokemon game coming out this Spring at Also, you can read about their take on E3 here. It sounds like Nintendo made a big splash with the upcoming 3DS and lots of cool games. Go Nintendo! (Be sure to click on that Nintendo link, by the way. You’ll see Nintendo’s photos from E3 as well as some really cool interviews with game developers talking about the 3DS and other things. I know you’ll like it!)
